Mornings at the Museum is a Saturday art workshop series for young artists in grades K–10, hosted at the SIU Sharp Museum. During four inspiring mornings, students will explore creative techniques and materials while learning from the artwork of featured artist Beth Lo.Participants will work at age-appropriate levels: K–2 students will design imaginative 2D and 3D characters, grades 3–5 will create ceramic plate illustrations, and grades 6–10 will experiment with large-scale paintings inspired by cultural motifs. The series culminates in a public exhibition on February 28, 2026, where students can proudly showcase their work. This hands-on program encourages creativity, cultural exploration, and artistic confidence in a museum setting.
