Southern Illinois Art & Design Educators Conference: CREATIVE CLAY+

We are honored to welcome Beth Lo as the 2026 keynote speaker for CREATIVE CLAY+. An internationally recognized ceramic artist, children's book author/illustrator, and educator, Beth Lo is known for her powerful narrative work that blends clay, painting, and personal storytelling. Drawing on themes of family, memory, cultural identity, and lived experience, her work challenges traditional boundaries of ceramics while offering deeply human connections. Through her keynote, Beth Lo will share insights from her artistic journey, creative process, and decades of teaching, inspiring educators and artists to embrace clay as a meaningful vehicle for expression, reflection, and connection. This conference provides art teachers with professional development opportunities required for success in the art room. Teachers will be provided a space to learn new and innovative ideas, as well as share their own experiences with fellow educators. Teachers participating in this conference may earn 5.0 Professional Development hours (PDH).
